A Comparative Study on Various Control Strategies for One-quarter-car Suspension Model Based on Numerical Simulations

Level
Topic of dissertation thesis
Topic description

The aim of the DP is to propose a method for the analysis of vibrations caused by road disturbances and to use it to compare the effectiveness of different car suspension control strategies. The strategies will be compared and evaluated using software-in-the-loop simulation on Matlab platform. The results of simulations of the quarter model suspension for different types of road irregularities will be compared . Car suspension strategy is a compromise between two conflicting criteria: car holding on the road and passenger comfort. These criteria will be taken into account in the study. The comparison will be made for both the active as well as the semi-active suspension group. The work will also include state-of-the-art.
