Annotation:

This presentation will cover the history of graphics subsytems and graphics accelerators. We will be talking about the development of requirements on working with 3D graphics and we shall partially address also the possible future improvements of graphics accelerators.

Brief CV of the lecturer:

Pavel Tišnovský received his Master and PhD degree at FIT VUT in Brno. He is currently with Red Hat CZ, where he works at a QA position. He is also involved in the development of OpenJDK, which implies working in Java, C++ and assembler for x86 and ARM. In his free time, he writes articles for root.cz
