The 2020/2021 Admissions to the Bachelor Degree Study Programme

Admissions to the Bachelor Degree Programme follow the conditions for the admission. The applicant must submit the application form and required documents, attend the entrance examination and pay the tuition fee. Applicants are admitted to study if they pass the entrance examination. Applicants become the student of the faculty the day of registration into the study.

The FIT bachelor programme is called Informatics. Studying is only possible in full-time form. The standard length of study is three years. After graduation, the student gets a bachelor degree (Bc.).

The most important document concerning the admission procedure is the Conditions for the Admission to the Bachelor Programme. They contain all the essential information, dates and deadlines or a detailed description of the documents that the prospective student has to supply to the faculty.

This page is intended for those interested in studying in English. You can find information about admissions in the Czech programme on another page.

Up to 48 students can be admitted.

The timetable of the admissions to the bachelor programme summarises all critical dates and deadlines. The application form can be submitted from January 1, 2020, to April 20, 2020. Entrance Examination

In the given year, the FIT organises a remote online admission test of mathematics and remote online interview in English. Applicants who achieve at least 60 points from the test and pass the interview successfully are preliminary admitted.

The admission test takes 50 minutes and consists of answering a set of multiple-choice questions in Moodle. The maximum number of points that can be achieved is 100. Topics of the test are set out in the Conditions for the Admission to the Bachelor Programme.

After the admission test, a 15-minute interview follows. It starts with the self-introduction of the applicant. It is then focused on the motivation of the applicant to study informatics at the FIT.

Preparation for Admission Test

Potential students may prepare for the admission test by taking a sample test. They may also check and improve their skills by taking several quizzes which contain high-school maths problems. To access the sample test and quizzes applicants must be registered in the Moodle system. Then they should open the link and select 18000 - Fakulta informačních technologií » ADMISSION PROCEDURE » Bachelor degree study programme.

Applicants shall register to Moodle by sending an email to giving their name, surname, and email address. Requests for registration are processed every week on Monday and Wednesday in the morning.
