The Future of Telecommunications With Li-Fi Technology

The Future of Telecommunications With Li-Fi Technology

Juan Carlos Abaunza is presenting the new Li-Fi wireless technology on October 7. You will learn how this technology, with the help of graphene, will contribute to the progress of the telecommunications industry and what tools will be created. The lecture is held as part of the FIT Informatics Evenings series from 18:00 in the T9:107 auditorium and is in English.

The lecture describes how the new wireless Li-Fi technology using graphene (an ultra-thin form of carbon) will contribute to innovation in the telecommunications. You will learn what gadgets will be created with this technology in the near future. By using light spectrum conditions combined with the strength of graphene, it will be possible, for example, to use this technology for more efficient communications. It will also find applications in the field of smart cities. There we can use Li-Fi in combination with laser technology to ensure communication between intelligent vehicles.

About the Event

The event is free of charge, and registration is not required. The lecture is also intended for students without prior knowledge of the topic.
