At this seminar, you will learn about this largest network testbed supported by the NSF (National Science Foundation), which builds on previous similar experimental networks from the New Generation of Internet project, such as PlanetLab and GENI. Currently, FABRIC is primarily used at U.S. universities for master’s theses and doctoral dissertations across a wide range of IT applications. In November 2023, CESNET—and through it, students at the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) at the Czech Technical University (ČVUT)—gained the opportunity to work with FABRIC as one of the few European partners. During the lecture, several examples will be used to demonstrate how to become a FABRIC user and how to work with it.
