The Quantum Innovation Center (QIC) is a strategic initiative led by the Czech Technical University in Prague, focused on the development of research, education, and industrial cooperation in the field of quantum technologies. It provides Czech universities and research institutions with access to state-of-the-art IBM quantum computers and creates space for shared projects in the fields of quantum computing, communication, and security.

QIC's activities are complemented by educational activities, conferences, and student projects, including the annual Quantum Day event, which brings together experts, students, and industry partners and highlights the growing role of the Czech Republic in the European quantum ecosystem.

Programme

The Quantum Day 2025 program provides an overview of achievements and outlines future challenges in the field of quantum technologies. This year's edition will present the key milestones of Czech quantum research and innovation, including cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, the European EURO QCI initiatives, the IT4I-LumiQ projects, and the Ostrava VLQ.
A key point will be the presentation of the CTU Quantum Innovation Center, which demonstrates how the academic sphere is connected with industry and government. Participants will also learn about the latest trends in Quantum AI SuperComputing and support for start-ups in the quantum field through CzechInvest.
The program will also cover current issues in post-quantum cryptography and quantum security, including QKD, as well as innovations in quantum sensing and metrology, and outline specific practical use cases, such as the HSBC case.
Quantum Day 2025 thus offers a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and discussion on the importance of quantum technologies for science, industry, and security in the Czech Republic.
