Starting this Friday, November 21, you can look forward to a workshop on creating photomontages in Affinity as part of the Graphic Design Evenings organized by students under the patronage of the Grafit group.
During the workshop, you’ll learn the basics of using Affinity for image editing. In addition, we will focus on the principles and guidelines that, when followed, will lead to the best possible results when combining photos into a single composition. These include matters such as precise cropping of objects, selecting/taking photos with appropriate lighting and perspective, color consistency, adding lighting effects and shadows, and more.
The workshop is also designed for complete beginners who have no prior experience with the software being presented. At the same time, the information will be general enough to be applicable to any similar software (we’d be happy to offer advice on Adobe Photoshop, for example).
The event will take place at 6:00 PM in TH:A-1455 (ggLab). We recommend bringing a laptop with Affinity (or another photo editor) so you can try out the concepts covered in the lecture right there.
