Artificial intelligence has been advancing rapidly in recent years. In this lecture, we will focus on how we evaluate current models, how they can improve while solving tasks, and why development is gradually moving from simply generating answers to acting in the real world. The lecture will offer a clear framework for understanding where the development of intelligent systems is actually heading and why they are becoming increasingly useful in practice.
Where is artificial intelligence headed today, and what innovations will fundamentally influence its future development? Come and find out at a lecture from the FIT CTU IT Evenings series with AI expert Doc. Pavel Kordík. You will gain an overview of the trends that will shape AI in the coming months – from new ways of measuring AI capabilities to AI agents and connections to the world of robotics. The lecture will be held in Czech.
What will you learn in this lecture?
- Modern benchmarks and AI intelligence measurement
How ARC-AGI tests verify models' ability to generalize and solve new tasks — and why this reveals their true limitations. - Why simply enlarging models is not enough
We will introduce new approaches based on recursion, feedback, and test-time learning that enable models to improve directly during the solution process. - The rise of AI agents
AI systems that can plan, use tools, work with memory, and collaborate in teams, and which are gradually gaining greater autonomy. - World models and connections to robotics
The shift from text generation to action in physical environments—a step that paves the way for more practical and reliable intelligent systems.
About Speaker
Doc. Ing. Pavel Kordík, Ph.D. has been working at FIT CTU since its founding, teaching and researching AI. In his work, he draws on his practical experience and involvement in several companies, startups, and non-profit initiatives. For example, prg.ai, whose vision is to transform Prague into a European center for artificial intelligence, or AI dětem, which seeks to improve education through AI, among other things.
