On November 12, 2025, the inauguration of the newly elected Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at Czech Technical University in Prague (FIT CTU), Assoc. Prof. Ing. Jan Janoušek, Ph.D., took place at the Bethlehem Chapel in Prague.

The ceremony was opened by the emeritus dean, Prof. RNDr. Ing. Marcel Jiřina, Ph.D., who reviewed the past period of faculty leadership and wished his successor great success. The official inauguration began with the approval of Prof. Ing. Zbyněk Škvor, CSc., Vice-Rector entrusted with university management. This was followed by a brief speech by the Chairman of the Academic Senate of FIT CTU, RNDr. Luděk Kleprlík, Ph.D., highlighting the trust that the academic community has placed in the newly elected leadership of the faculty.

"Our greatest strength lies in our people – staff and students. My ambition is that alongside providing excellent education, the faculty becomes a center of top-tier research and a meeting place for the IT community, where people enjoy returning. I believe that open communication, collaboration across the faculty, and support for talent will allow us to push the boundaries of education and knowledge," said Assoc. Prof. Janoušek.
