Bachelor and Master Timetable for the 2018/2019 Summer Semester

The summer semester is from February 18 to September 30, 2019. Classes start on February 18, 2019, the first week is even. The examination period is from May 20 to June 29, 2019. The bachelor final state examinations are within the period of June 17–28, 2019 and the master ones are within the period of June 10–14, 2019. For evaluations of the claim to the merit scholarship for the summer semester, the study results stored in the KOS on the date of evaluation are included, i.e. until mid-November 2019.

Instruction Period

Classes are in 13 instruction weeks: from February 18 to May 18, 2019. Students have to obtain summer semester assessments by the end of the instruction period, i.e. until May 18. 2019. Course guarantors may extend this deadline for their courses, but no later than by the end of the examination period, i.e. until June 29, 2019.

An examination period lasts 6 weeks. Summer semester exams can be taken by the end of the summer semester examination period, i.e. until June 29, 2019.

Days off and Vacation

During the instruction period, classes are canceled due to public holidays. Rector’s Day is announced on May 15, 2019 and summer holidays are within the period of July 1 – September 1, 2019.

Summer holidays

Final State Examinations

Only students who meet the deadlines can take final state examinations in the summer semester. If students don’t manage to submit their final theses in due time, they may submit them by the end of the examination period, i.e. until June 28, 2019. However, these students cannot take the FSEs before the next semester.
