Technology using artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the world around us today. Wondering how AI is making a real difference in today's industry and what the future holds? Come and get inspired by real examples from practice and discuss at the Informatics evening at FIT CTU.

In cooperation with experts from Datamole, SiemensDigiteq Automotive, we have prepared an evening full of AI, which will offer you three short lectures with practical demonstrations and then a space to discuss and ask questions about everything you are interested in.

The companies involved are part of the FIT CTU's industry cooperation programme, which helps our students gain practice while studying and supports the creation of joint research and innovation projects.

Lectures

Datamole – Applications of AI in industry and agriculture

Tomáš Borovička

AI today is not just big language models (LLM). In this talk, Datamole will present practical applications of AI in industry and agriculture. You'll see how AI helps optimize dairy farm operations, analyze fruit quality by non-destructively "looking inside" a mango or avocado, and how AI is being used to improve traffic flow and safety.

Siemens – AI in Predictive maintenance

Libor Pischnoth and Jörg Bauer

In this talk, you will find out how AI is used at Siemens, specifically at Siemens Mobility and Siemens Digital Industries. Within Siemens Mobility Innovation & Lifecycle Management, AI is used to analyze historical and current data for early detection of defects to ensure timely inspection and eventual repair. Siemens Digital Industries provides individual concepts based on state-of-the-art technologies and algorithms. This enables systematic detection and elimination of faults at an early stage and optimization of maintenance - a decisive advantage for quality, cost and productivity.

Digiteq Automotive – Automotive software development and testing: NLP and AI in practice

Adam Chýlek and Daniel Pokorný

What is the role of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) as an innovation engine in automotive software development? In this talk from Digiteq Automotive, you will discover how GenAI is contributing to the emergence of new technologies and solutions that improve the efficiency and quality of this software. We will show practical examples of GenAI's use in various areas such as automating text generation for infotainment systems, automating test case creation for controllers and personalized conversational agents. We will discuss the challenges and opportunities that GenAI presents for the future of this field.
