In case of an active shooter threat, call 112 – emergency call or 158 – Police.
You can also use the Active Shooter app, which serves as a guide in a crisis situation with instructions on how to save your life from the attacker before the police.
This is a freely available app called 'Active Shooter,' which serves as a chat with artificial intelligence.
The app addresses the time between the start of the attack and the arrival of the police. This can range from minutes to tens of minutes. It provides basic tips and insights that can be used to save lives.
The project varies depending on the selected situation. The user can simulate an attack in which they don’t know the attacker’s position and have no escape route. For example, if you're in a lockable room (office, kitchenette, classroom), lock or block the door, and the robot will respond. If you're not in a lockable room, try to get into one. Don’t stay in the hallway or in large spaces. Use large and heavy objects to barricade, or block the handle.
The app is also available in English and automatically activates if the mobile phone is set to a language other than Czech.
The app is simple, and recommendations can be reviewed in a few minutes.
