At our faculty, we have one bachelor study program in Informatics with 6 different specializations.
The most important document concerning the admission procedure is the Conditions for the Admission to the Bachelor study program. The document contains all essential information, dates and deadlines or a detailed description of the documents we will need from you during the admission procedure.
Study all relevant documents carefully and choose the specialization
If you are interested in studying at our faculty and want to apply, we recommend reading the Conditions for Admission and Study Contract.
Choice of specialization
Before filling out the application, you need to consider which specialization you are most interested in and then state it in the application. The choice of specialization in the application is not binding, and during the study, you can decide whether to keep it or choose another one. In the first semester of study, all courses are the same for all specializations.
Fill out an application and pay the admission fee by 31 March 2022
You enter the admission procedure by a complete and paid application form. You can fill it out online from 1 Jan. to 31 Mar. 2022. We have only one round of the admission procedure, and the start of studies is from 19 Sep. 2022.
The fee for the admission procedure is CZK 850 (approx. EUR 32 / USD 38). We recommend paying it online as soon as you fill out the application, but you can also pay with a wire transfer if necessary.
After completing the application form and paying the admission fee, you will receive a confirmation email informing you that the application has been included in the admission procedure.

You must deliver all required documents to the Office of Study Affairs, either by email, post or in person. The deadline is 31 Mar. 2022. A certified translation (into Czech, Slovak or English) should accompany all documents that are not in one of these languages. At the registration into the study, you must present the originals of all submitted documents for verification.
The required documents are:
Two signed copies of the Study Contract.
Documents associated with your study in a secondary/high school.
One photocopy of your passport.

You can find details on the documents in the article “Documents to be submitted by post, email or in person“ of the Conditions for the Admission. We will confirm receipt of the documents by email and, if necessary, ask you to submit any missing ones.
You must have documents that will be required to recognize your previous education in a process called “nostrification”. These documents must be super-legalized, i.e., certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of your country and by the Czech Embassy in our country. If your country is a signatory to the Hague Convention, certifying the documents with an apostille is sufficient.

To complete the admission process, you must pay the tuition fee for the first semester of your studies and submit all required documents as detailed in the article “Documents to be submitted by post, email or in person“ of the Conditions for the Admission. Pass the Mathematics test and the interview within 19–29 April 2022
We organize an admission Mathematics test and an interview in English within 19–29 Apr. 2022. They will take place remote or in person if you are in the Czech Republic at this time. You and the admission committee mutually agree upon the exact date and time within 4–14 Apr. 2022. You will be notified by email, followed by the preliminary (non-)admission decision by 16 May 2022.
You can find details on the entrance test, topics and rules in the article “Admission Mathematics Test and Interview“ of the Conditions for the Admission. You can prepare for the admission test by taking a sample test or taking several quizzes in our online preparatory course.
Apply for a visa or a dormitory
After being accepted for studies in the Czech Republic, you must apply to the Czech Embassy in your country for a visa if you need it. Students arriving for a period longer than 90 days apply for a long-term residence permit for study purposes. The whole procedure for obtaining a visa for study purposes can take 60–90 days, so we recommend applying for the visa well in advance. For further information, please get in touch with the Czech Embassy.
Students have to arrange valid International Health Insurance covering the territory of the Czech Republic. This insurance has to be presented before the visa is affixed to the passport. CTU recommends these companies (all provide the online application):
You can book accommodation at the CTU dormitory online and get a contract with confirmation of guaranteed accommodation. If you need help with your registration, you can contact the Accommodation Department at firstname.lastname@example.org. The provisional date for starting accommodation is from 12 Sep. 2022.
Register into the study within 30 June – 9 September 2022
You must appear in person at the Office of Study Affairs within 30 Jun. – 9 Sep. 2022 to register into the study. Exact details will be specified in your admission letter. The classes start on 19 Sep. 2022.
