Admission procedure 2023

Bachelor study program

At our faculty, we have one bachelor study program in Informatics with 6 different specializations.

The most important document concerning the admission procedure is the Conditions for the Admission to the Bachelor study program. The document contains all essential information, dates and deadlines or a detailed description of the documents we will need from you during the admission procedure.

Procedure

1.

Study all relevant documents carefully and choose the specialization

Important documents

If you are interested in studying at our faculty and want to apply, we recommend reading the Conditions for Admission and Study Contract.

Choice of specialization

The choice of specialization in the application is not binding, and during the study, you can decide whether to keep it or choose another one. In the first semester of study, all courses are the same for all specializations.

Apply for a visa or a dormitory

Visa

After being accepted for studies in the Czech Republic, you must apply to the Czech Embassy in your country for a visa if needed. Students arriving for a period longer than 90 days apply for a long-term residence permit for study purposes. The whole procedure for obtaining a visa for study purposes can take 60–90 days, so we recommend applying for the visa well in advance. For further information, please get in touch with the Czech Embassy.

Health insurance

Students have to arrange valid International Health Insurance covering the territory of the Czech Republic. This insurance must be presented before the visa is affixed to the passport. CTU recommends these companies (all provide the online application):

You can book accommodation at the CTU dormitory online and get a contract with confirmation of guaranteed accommodation. If you need help with your registration, you can contact the Accommodation Department at ubytovani@suz.cvut.cz. The provisional date for starting accommodation is from 17 Sep. 2023.
