Application

You enter the admission procedure with a complete and paid application form. You can fill it out online from 1 January to 31 March 2027. We have only one round of the admission procedure.

Admission fee

The fee for the admission procedure is CZK 1,050 (approx. EUR 42 / USD 45). We recommend paying it online as soon as you fill out the application, but you can also pay with a wire transfer if necessary.

Required documents

Remember to upload all required documents through the application. It can be done even after the deadline, but you must upload a scan of your passport by 31 March 2027. You can find details in the article “Admission to study“ of the Conditions for Admission.

Recommendation

Even though the deadline for completing these steps is 31 March 2027, we strongly encourage you to perform these steps as soon as possible to allow us to process the applications on an ongoing basis.

The test in person will be held on 12 May 2027.

The test consists of multiple-choice questions using the Moodle tool and takes 90 minutes. It is a closed-book exam, no electronic communication tools are allowed, and no calculators are permitted

The Mathematics test covers the following topics:

• Number sets: natural numbers, integers, rational, real and complex numbers.
• Algebraic expressions: polynomials, rational functions, exponentiation by an exponent that is a rational number.
• Equations: linear and quadratic equations, equations containing rational powers, logarithmic, exponential and goniometric equations, and equations containing an absolute value.
• Inequations: linear and quadratic inequations, inequations containing rational powers or an absolute value, and goniometric inequations.
• Systems of linear equations and inequations.
• Functions: linear, quadratic, goniometric and exponential functions, logarithms and powers. Domain of a function and basic properties (periodicity, monotonicity, etc.).
• Arithmetic and geometric sequences and their sums. h. Analytic geometry: coordinate systems, points, vectors, equations for planes and straight lines, angles, scalar products.
• Combinatorics and basic probability: permutations and combinations, binomial theorem.
• Mathematical logic: validity of declarative statements, deductive reasoning.

Online test in mathematics or general academic prerequisities will be organized through SCIO (National Comparative Exams).

If English is not your native language, you must prove your proficiency at level B2 or higher according to the CEFR. Upload an official document to your application no later than 13 September 2027 (as soon as possible recommended) or a couple of days before your registration into the study. Accepted documents include, but are not limited to:

• FCE: First Certificate in English
• IELTS: Score of 5.5 or higher
• BEC 2: Business English Certificate 2
• STANAG 6001: Level 2 or higher
• TOEFL: PBT score of 513 or higher, iBT score of 65 or higher, or CB score of 183 or higher
• TELC: Certificate in English Advantage (B2), B2 English for Business Purposes, B2 English for Technical Purposes
• International ESOL and Spoken ESOL: Communicator
• Pitman Intermediate (Level 2): Intermediate First-Class Pass – B2 Vantage
• Czech State Examination in English: Basic or Higher level
• Secondary education in English: Official documentation confirming that English was the primary language of instruction at your secondary/high school

Required documents

To go from preliminarily to fully admitted, you must upload through the application or deliver to the Office of Study Affairs the following documents:

• Recognition of your secondary/high school education (see the article “Recognition of Secondary/High school education“ of the Conditions for Admission).

• Proof of English proficiency, except for native English speakers (see Step 4).

• Signed copy of Study Contract (Available soon).

Recognition of foreign education

Documents associated with your previous foreign education must be officially recognized by the Czech Republic (nostrification) or verified through the CTU.

Full admission

Once you upload all required documents, you shall receive (by mail) an official letter of admission, further information about your studies and an admission confirmation for the Czech Embassy in your country.

Visa

After being accepted for studies in the Czech Republic, you must apply to the Czech Embassy in your country for a visa if needed. Students arriving for a period longer than 90 days apply for a long-term residence permit for study purposes. The whole procedure for obtaining a visa for study purposes can take 60–90 days, so we recommend applying for the visa well in advance. Health insurance

You have to arrange valid International Health Insurance covering the territory of the Czech Republic. This insurance must be presented before the visa is affixed to the passport. CTU recommends these companies (all provide the online application):

Accommodation

You can book accommodation at the CTU dormitory online and get a contract confirming guaranteed accommodation. If you need help with your registration, you can contact the Accommodation Department at ubytovani@suz.cvut.cz.

Accommodation in the CTU dormitories

To complete your registration into the study, you must pay the tuition fee* of CZK 64,000 (approx. EUR 2,600 / USD 3,000) for the first semester of your studies. You can pay it either by card (recommended) or bank transfer. The payment deadline is the day of registration into the study, but no later than 15 September 2027.

* The tuition fee does not cover accommodation, food, transportation, books, health insurance, or other personal expenses.

Once the tuition fee payment for the first semester is received on the FIT bank account, you can register for the study. The registration can be done online from 30 June to 15 September 2027. The exact details are specified in your admission letter.

The classes start on 20 September 2027.
