At our faculty, we have one master’s degree study programme in Informatics with 5 different specializations. Therefore, you only need to submit one application and choose your study specialization during your studies.
Important documents and links
The most important document concerning the admission procedure is the Conditions for Admission. The document contains all essential information, dates and deadlines or a detailed description of the documents we need from you during the admission procedure.
Fill out and submit an application by 19 April 2026
Application
You enter the admission procedure with a complete and paid application form. You can fill it out online from 1 January to 19 April 2026. We have only one round of the admission procedure.
Admission fee
The fee for the admission procedure is CZK 900 (approx. EUR 37 / USD 40). We recommend paying it online as soon as you fill out the application, but you can also pay with a wire transfer if necessary.
Required documents
Remember to upload all required documents through the application. It can be done even after the deadline, but you must upload a scan of your passport by 19 April 2026. You can find details in the article “Documents to be uploaded“ of the Conditions for Admission.

Arrange the necessities for life in Czechia
Visa
After being accepted for studies in the Czech Republic, you must apply to the Czech Embassy in your country for a visa if needed. Students arriving for a period longer than 90 days apply for a long-term residence permit for study purposes. The whole procedure for obtaining a visa for study purposes can take 60–90 days, so we recommend applying for the visa well in advance. For further information, please get in touch with the Czech Embassy.

Health insurance
You have to arrange valid International Health Insurance covering the territory of the Czech Republic. This insurance must be presented before the visa is affixed to the passport. CTU recommends these companies (all provide the online application):
Accommodation
You can book accommodation at the CTU dormitory online and get a contract confirming guaranteed accommodation. If you need help with your registration, you can contact the Accommodation Department at ubytovani@suz.cvut.cz. The tentative date for the commencement of accommodation is 16 September 2026.
Pay the tuition fee
To complete the admission process, you must pay the tuition fee, CZK 64,000 (approx. EUR 2,627 / USD 2,867), for the first semester of your studies. The tuition fee does not cover accommodation, food, transportation, books, medical insurance, or other personal expenses.
You can pay the fee either by card (recommended) or bank transfer.
Preparation for the Informatics test
Do not let the entrance exam take you by surprise, and become a computer science whiz. Our preparatory course or set of sample exams will help you with that.
