Martin came to FIT CTU several years ago with almost no knowledge of IT. However, in a short period, he was able to find his way and start working on his own project. As a typical IT enthusiast, he suffered from back pain, which led him to create an app to help him with his exercises, initially just for himself.
At first, it was just a student "side project," but gradually, the small project grew into a company that Martin founded together with his friend Matouš Skála. At the company, they developed several mobile apps under the name Fitify Apps, which function as a home fitness trainer, helping users achieve the goal of living differently, better, and healthier.
"To date, we have been able to reach more than 20 million users worldwide. One of the advantages of FIT is that you meet many great people here. Our entire development team is made up of graduates or students from FIT."
The Fitify app is downloaded by over 800,000 users every month. As a result, Fitify has become a major competitor to giants like Nike, Strava, and Adidas for the title of the most downloaded fitness app.
The goal of the startup, which employs several developers, designers, physiotherapists, and fitness trainers, is to spread a healthy lifestyle worldwide.
Martin was also named in Forbes Czech Republic's prestigious "30 under 30" list. More information about the success of the Fitify app.
