Conceptual models of graph databases

Level
Topic of dissertation thesis
Topic description

Specialist supervisor: Ing. Michal Valenta, Ph.D.

In recent years, graph databases have been intensively developed and used in various areas (data lineage, artificial intelligence, optimization of supply chains, data analysis, ...). Representing data using both directed and undirected graphs emphasizes the interconnectedness of data and allows it to be viewed from different perspectives. With the use of graph databases, there is a growing need for research and development of conceptual modeling methods aimed at the subsequent implementation of schemes in graph databases. The dissertation will deal with the research of conceptual modeling methods and the implementation of conceptual models with great expressiveness (for example, OntoUML) in graph databases.
