Participate in an international competition for young scientists and innovators, Falling Wall Labs, and breathe new life into your idea. It is open to students at all levels, even PhDs. What is Falling Walls?
It is an international format that aims to empower a generation of emerging scientists and innovators. The competition aims to promote exceptional ideas and connect promising scientists and entrepreneurs from all fields globally. Participants present their research idea, business plan, or civic initiative in English to an audience and a panel of expert judges. The key to success is only 3 minutes, which is the allotted time for the presentation.
Each year, academic institutions around the world are invited to host a Falling Walls Lab competition in their countries. This demonstrates the quality, diversity, and persistence of innovative ideas in that country. The author of the best presentation wins a trip to Berlin for the global Falling Walls Lab finals, which will take place on 7-9 November 2024.
Around a hundred finalists from all over the world present their projects to a highly respected jury. The three winners of the Berlin final will receive the title of Falling Walls Young Innovator of the Year, a financial award and the opportunity to present their project at the Falling Walls Science Summit.
Deadlines
The deadline for Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic applications is 30 June 2024.
The Czech round of Falling Walls Lab will take place on the afternoon of 12 September 2024 in Prague at the National Technical Library!

Conditions of participation
It doesn't matter what you study or where you work, and your idea is important to us! All are welcome!
Main criteria for participation:
- Age 18+
- If you have a bachelor's degree, you can participate within 10 years of earning it
- If you have a Master's degree, you can participate within 7 years of obtaining it
- If you have a PhD, you can participate within 5 years of obtaining it
- If you are a university student or Postdoc, you can also apply
- If you've presented at Falling Walls Lab in past years, we'd love to see you in the audience!

What can you win as a participant?
