Network (FITNet)

Our group teaches and conducts research into computer networks, distributed systems, cloud computing and the internet of things.

What we do

We teach students in bachelor and master programs the basics of theoretical concepts, architectures and commonly used technologies of computer networks. We place a lot of emphasis on the latest technologies and trends since we realize how dynamic the development in this area is.

We collaborate on research and implementation of distributed systems and design and optimize complex network topologies. In the framework of current research, we create software tools based on advanced machine learning methods intended for monitoring, optimization, administration and ensuring the security of computer networks.

We actively collaborate with other network organizations, including CESNET, CZ.NIC and universities in the Czech Republic and abroad.
