The Image Processing Laboratory – ImproLab – was established at FIT in 2017. It combines academic expertise with applications from practice and it provides solutions to problems not only to students, but first of all to companies. The laboratory has technical equipment for research projects and teaching in the field of capturing visual information. Our aim is to improve the quality of teaching in the field of data processing and create an environment for the application of theoretical knowledge in practice.

The Laboratory is co-funded by the European Union. The aim of the project is to acquire HW equipment for the “Image Processing Laboratory” at FIT CTU to improve the quality of education. The laboratory will be equipped with camera systems, sensors and related optical and lighting technology for the implementation of practical projects in image and video processing.

The lab’s activities are focused on these topics
