Anotace
The conventional procedure for cataract removal surgery is phacoemulsification of the
clouded lens and its replacement with an intraocular lens (IOL) with simultaneous correction
of the refractive error of the eye's optical system. The lack of a universal tool for
postoperative analysis of critical positional parameters of the IOL in the eye inspired us to
create our own original software design (Visual Basic) and subsequently to create a prototype
eye model in our own designed graphical interface (Blender). The practical use of the
proposed interface would consist in parametric modelling of anatomical relationships to IOL
position. In addition to the ability to manage the patient database, the user would be able to
interactively manipulate the eye model, hide individual anatomical parts, and have the option
of 3D visualization for planning potential IOL repositioning even using augmented reality.
